Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | I know there are a fair share of Fantasy Freaks on this board, and I need a few unbiased opinions: I have been offered to SEND: James Stewart and REC: Jamal Anderson. Both are ranked at similar spot on all the draft sheets I've seen, and I do have Marshall Faulk (had 1st overall pick). Do I take a shot at Jamal rebounding to his previous form, where this trade would benefit me? They both play on turf, both have suspect passing games and creepy teams around them, they are almost the same back.....any thoughts?

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Id rather have Stewart. Stewart is one of the most underrated players in the game and Anderson hasnt been the same since his injury.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | That is a textbook example of a trade that doesn't make any sense. A Back for a back, neither outright better than the other, both question marks. If this other person proposed the trade, than he must want to get rid of Jamal. If that is the case, look at his roster and see if there is anyone that will help improve your team. Maybe he is heavily loaded with receivers, and has one you could use as a solid backup when a starter is off or hurt. In that case, you offer a counter trade where you send Stewart and another for Jamal and the player you really want. The trade as it is proposed doesn't improve the team, so why make it? O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Depending on your bench......I'd take the chance. Are you strong at WR? Stewart will be a mediocre back giving decent stats but, like I said depending on your bench, Anderson can be a top 3 back. But since everyone has said different I could be wrong. Just my thoughts. Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | It doesn't make sense, that's true...it's really a slight upgrade for him, but it doesn't make sense unless we add two more players and I get the slight edge in that half of the trade. I countered his offer with Stewart & Tim Brown and I would receive Jamal & Rod Smith. He's still mulling it over.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Back to back, don't trade. I'm assuming you get two starters at RB, so don't mes with a trade.... "Were you born worthless, or did you have to work at it?" -Gunnery Sergeant Hartman, Drill Instructor (FMJ)

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Yea, I can never understand when someone offers me a RB for RB or WR for WR type deal. The best trades usually improve both teams, and in this case, only one team would benefit.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | keep stewart, hes better Now, i didnt want to start another thread, but i need advice too...i am in a deal that would send ed mccaffery and edgerin james to the other team for curtis martin and tory holt...i dont want to accept the trade, but i havent declined it yet cause it might make some sense. i know james is better than martin, but the real plus here if i accept is that denver has a bye in week 16...which is when fantasy playoffs usually are...plus this trade would help my club out bye week wise. Any thoughts??

Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Cluster....Don't do it. No matter when the bye weeks are, James will score a hell of alot more points then Martin, which will be better for you to get to the playoffs. The other line of thinking is that you don't trade a top 5 guy for 3rd and 4th round guys (unless those guys are something special that were overlooked in the draft). Holt isn't too special, plus there are always surprise WR's that just happen to have good years to be found on the waiver wire when the season gets underway.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Cluster what about my trade. I wanted Mccaffery and Michael Bennett for Ahman Green (see him ranked between #6-#9 running backs in NFL and Joey Galloway. I think this is more than fair as it will help both of us. He get a major runningback and I improve my wide receivers.
