The Ducks traded Teemu Selanne to the San Jose Sharks for forward Jeff Friesen, goaltender Steve Shields and a conditional draft choice. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | The Sharks still have to get Damphousse back for the Playoffs if they are going to have a shot at taking it. Even with Selanne, Id still say Dallas, Detroit, and St. Louis are just as good as San Jose probably even better. San Jose is still going with a Rookie Goaltender in Nabakov who is a question mark come Playoff Time. I was just saying to myself the other day how Anaheim needs to break up Selanne and Kariya and start over. Well I guess they listened. Jeff Friesen is a good player and Steve Shields can become their #1 goalie as its about time they get rid of Guy Hebert. But its a great move for the Sharks to add Selanne for their Playoff run.  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00 | that was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much to pay for just selanne. fucking friesen's a great second line player on his own, and as francine said, shields is on his way to becoming a #1. even w/ nabokov, having two great goalies isn't a bad thing come playoff time. holy shit! that's one hell of a surprise. i was really hoping the isles would get selanne ;) ;) NOT! well, we'll still get roenick in the summer! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Colorado vs. Detroit, St. Louis or Dallas would be just as good. Probably better. Especially Colorado vs. Detroit. Even with Selanne, I still would rank them 5th in the Western Conference. | ||||
