| Ok, it starts out like any other Ranger-Flyer confrontation. Six fights and 112 penalty minutes in the first 2 periods.
Then, during the second intermission, they begin to broadcast President Bush's address on the scoreboard. So far so good.
Then it starts to get weird. NYC Mayor Giuliani gets mentioned along with NY Governor Pataki and gets applause and cheers from the FUC crowd! Ok, maybe with everyting going on, we can let that one slide. But then, the 3rd period is about to begin, and they take the address off. The crowd boos and demands for it to be put back! So they put it back on, and the crowd, and both teams on the ice, watch the entire address.
Then the final bizarro world act of the night, after the address the crowd breaks into USA USA chants and generally cheers the address. Then the Flyers, and the hated Rangers, decide to call it a night after two periods, shaking hands in the middle of the ice and going home!!
WTF!!
In seriousness, though, an amazing story about where we are as a country right now. Bravo Philly.

| I wish alot of Ranger games over the past few years would have ended after only 2 periods.

| I love to bash Flyer fans. But I have to give them credit for the class they showed last night.
