| i've been wondering this for some time now -
you know how in sports, especially baseball, they have weird ass stats about things you would never even think would be a stat. like someone may be batting .345 on tuesdays and thursdays when the count is 2-1 and its an odd numbered inning. or when they show those boxes on fox about a players hitting zone and where he handles the ball best. i was just wondering if anyone happens to know anyone who actually takes these stats and like what exactly their job is. do they just sit there waiting on a tuesday or thursday for the count to be 2-1 in an odd numbered inning to record this data? yea this probably sounds retarded but i can't be the only person who ever thought about this.

| I would assume that Elias uses a database to keep track of the stats. I don't think there's anyone with a pen, paper, and scorecards from every game who gets paid to compile obscure and meaningless statistics. This is the information age.
