O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01 | Holy fuck this guy is amazing. If you didn't realize it before, I hope you do now. He made that great play the other night where he caught the overthrow then made the out at home plate. Then tonight, he made an amazing catch where he fell over into the seats to make the out. What an amazing player. MVP!

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Jeter is an insane player. forget that he's averaging a 200 hit season for his career and is the only one with a mathmatical chance to break Pete Rose's record, he has the best instincts and smart in the game. that play in game 3 shows it. He's a really special player. I don't know why I care so much, when I shouldn't care at all This message was edited by CriticsLoveSnatch on 10-15-01 @ 11:38 PM

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Ok, no matter if he plays for the asshole yankees or not, it doesnt mean youre not a good player. Derek Jeter is a great player. He has very special qualities that make him one of the elite players in the game. Ill put him in my top 25 in the game. That being said, A-ROD is the best SS in the game. Everytime he makes an incredible play you say how could he top that? And he does top it...every single time If I seem a little scattered There's an empty space where something used to beat I'm definately shattered Like some stupid piece of china How pathetic of me

Psychopath Registered: Jul. 01 | quote: I'm not saying regular season..but if they win the World Series again he will most likely win MVP for the second year in a row...this is playoffs now....how he played in the regular season does not apply. He is a main part of why the Yankees have been the team that they have been for the past 5 years. Psychopath Registered: Sep. 01 | What a super player the Yankees have in Jeter. Right next to Rivera he is top dog of the team. He just seems to bring a whole new level to the term "class act" and just to think he is only 27. I can't wait to see what this guy is like in a few more years. *edit... 25 , 27 close enough This message was edited by sheetbag on 10-16-01 @ 12:39 AM

Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | I like that he gets mad puddy. I saw him at Whiskey Park in Boston when they were up to see the Sox, and it really is no joke. That's usually the best looking bar in Boston female-wise, but that night, it was like there was an announcement somewhere because the place was wall-to-wall packed with a 70-30 ration of women to men and all the women were amazing looking and busting out of their clothes. Rivera, Jeter, Posada and a few others were sittin in the middle of the bar, and there were women 4 deep surrounding their couches and chairs "inconspicously" just standing around just BEGGING to make eye contact with him. It was hilarious to see these women blow off Posada becuase they had no idea who the hell he was since he was off to the side. He should have worn his uniform

A class act and an amazing ballplayer who probably hasn't even reached his prime yet. "Ants in my pants, it was bigger than an elephant... I swear it was this big!"

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Jeter is amazing. he saved the series for the Yanks. he plays the game like it was meant to be played. he's an outstanding fielder and an even better hitter. i don't know of too many guys who would put their bodies on the line like jeter did making that catch on the foul ball last night.
