After watching Dallas during the Eagles, and the Cowboys... a few things that I noticed.

1. Emmitt, retire please...
2. Tony Hambrick (or however you spell it) is dam good. He should be the starting rb for the boys the rest of the year.
3. R. Swinton. Great return guy...

4. Even though it still makes me laugh when I say it, Ryan Leaf, hahahahahaaa, throws a really good deep ball. Maybe, after a training camp and a mini camp or two... Leaf will meet all his rookie expectations. If, he can, Dallas will be quite respectable in the 2002 season.

So does Jeff George. Doesn't change the fact that they are both cancerous to their respective teams.

No kidding, he is already a legend and future hall-of-famer. He has more running yards than half of the league combined, he should retire. Give Hambrick the running job, he has some potential.

U know damn well if Barry Sanders was still playin, that emmit would go jus a bit unnoticed. mean im happy for the guy that he has that kind of talent, but Sanders is definitely the better of the 2. But Emmit still has a few years left in him so lets see how many more yards he can rack up before he decides to call it quits.

I know Barry is better. But Barry is gone, and I think Emmitt should go too. But yeah,
I guess we'll see how many yards he can rack up until hes all out of gas. The only danger of playing too long into your years is that the chance of getting injured is heightened. It would be devastating to have to see Emitt retire because of an injury.

I do not want to start a Barry/Emmitt debate...but, if I had an offensive line like Emmitt did in the heyday of the 90's...well, i might have 10,000 yards myself, and I resemble Andy Reid more than Emmitt or Barry. I hate the cowboys, but respect what that offensive line did, huge lanes and tremendious pass blocking.

As far as Jeff George is concerned, well, hot head ruuuuoooooooiined his career. See rookie year stats and the year in Minn... he really has got talent and wouldn't be surprised to see him in Miami next year. Jay Fielder, aweful!!!

My hope is Lavar Arrington could put the final nail in Emmitt's career just like he did for Troy.

Hey Ken bite me.

Emmitt time has come, and I'm sure this will be his last year, but don't let it tarnish anything he did. So it sucks being a Boyz fan now, but it usually comes around. Just that it looks like it may take a bit longer this time....plus they don't have Herschel to trade. ;)

Relax GW, welcome to suck city. The blow boys are dead. They are old, cap strapped, not much with young prospects, no coaching, poor ownership, and there IS no Hershel to trade. Just get ready to keep the Cardinals company in the cellar for a decade or so.

I will never understand why we didn't go out and sign a real quarterback this off-season or draft Weinke.

And Emmitt was running fairly well until this last game.

wow, I haven't thought about that since April.

Jeff George can be had cheap. Maybe they want a few years of the three headed QB that the Lions ran in the early 90's...ummm..that was the Peete, Krammer, and Andre Ware rotation.

You mean moving up to grab Quincy Carter was a bad move?

I can't wait to see him snap again.

Whether it's with the media, with his teammates, or with fans at camp, his attacks are funny, always.

1. Ryan Leaf will never be good.
2. Dallas will suck next year.
3. You don't know anything about football.

1. Because they thought Tony Banks was a "real QB" (no one ever said Jerry Jones was a great evaluater of football talent.
2. By the time the Cowboys were any good again, Weinke would be ready to retire.

You don't think keeping a guy like Emmit around would be good for Hambrick? There's no one better to have around for an influence, both skillwise and attitude wise. Plus, keeping Emmit around a little bit longer gives Dallas fans some reason to pay for the games.

Jeff George can be had cheap.

And there's a damn good reason for that.

if the Tom Brady is consistant for the rest of the year and wins a few more games, will Drew Bledsoe be the next Dallas QB.

And aren't the Redskins getting a gift this weekend with the 'boys starting Quincy Carter after only playing in game and being injured for most of the season?

The Cowboys don't have a bad team. Their receivers are stepping up, their defense is young and really playing well as a unit, and they still have hall of fame running back and a promising back up. All they really need is a reliable quarterback with some leadership.

No, we won't be like the Bengals for several reasons. We have a winning tradition, an owner who will spend a lot of money, and a group of young talent.

Your owner may spend a lot of money, but he is also the GM. As you can see from the Bengals' Paul Brown, owners make horrible GMs.

Yes, he is the both the GM & the owner... and since he has taken over the team in 1989, we do have 3 rings and a shitload of division titles.
