| O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Heres an idea, why dont the Yankees go out and get Bonds, A-Rod, Nomar, Griffey, Ramirez, Ichiro, and every other big name player in Baseball. But will it all be enough if you dont have any defense at 3rd Base? If your going to get Giambi, Alou, and whoever else, who the hell cares whos playing 3rd Base? Be glad you root for a team who spends money and wants to win, unlike the other team in town. Because then you would have something to really complain about.  | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | I don't understand what the problem is. As a fan you want the best for you team. Why not dream for a Giambi Rolen Alou Hitchcock future for the Yanks. I want the best for my team and i could care less about the other teams. The only thing that's stoping a Royals fan(insert any small market team) is themselves. The owners are part to blame. If they put a winner on the field the fans will show up. That means more revenue for the team. A team like the Royals needs a pitcher to be in the race. The AL cental is Mediocare at best. One hot pitcher could get them in the race to win the division. They have the hitting and the impoved bullpen from last year.  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I may have difficulty reading, but I thought the original question was signing Giambi, Alou vs. signing Tino, Rolen & Floyd. Giambi is significantly better hitter than Tino. 1st base defensive is nice, but overrated. Mo Vaughn was MVP candidate with Red Sox at 1st. don't worry about defense there. Rolen & Floyd are not free agents now. Alou & Giambi are. If you want Rolen & Floyd you have to give up talent- and who knows what those teams want. Thus not only do you increase payroll, you deplete talent. Be happy; your team is intent on improving itself. No one else in baseball seems to be doing that.  | ||||
