O&A Board Regular Registered: Apr. 01 | i heard the yanks are sending el duque, nick johnson, and shane spencer for cliff floyd. seems like a bit much even though floyd would fit in great with this team. they obviously would like to get rid of el duque, spencer is a middling player, but johnson would be a loss. he has great potential as a hitter but no position with this team. Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00 | Floyd's a nice all around player. I don't think it would be a bad trade for either side. Plus Floyd is proven where you don't know what your going to get out of Johnson. Either way, I think the Yanks have the title won already anyway, and I'm not even a Yanks fan. -------------------------- E-Mail me HERE AIM ME AT : OA AfdB

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | You guys have got to be kidding, right? too much for floyd? Let's see last years Stats: Floyd - All Star, .317 BA, .390 OBP, 31 HRS, 103 RBI, .578 SLG, 18 steals caught 3 times. Hernandez - pitched only 94 innings walked 42, gave up 19 Hrs, ERA 4.85 Spenser - 283 AB, .258 average, .315 OBP, .428 SLG Nick Johnson - 67 AB, .313 SLG. Johnson might be a promising rookie, but he has done nothing yet, and doesn't have a spot with Yankees. Hernandez was hurt, is probably old, and can't make rotation. Spenser - 30 yrs old and has never been a starter. All for an All-Star, And you think it's too much....

Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | My only problem with this is Both Floyd and White are constantly hurt. I think last year was the most games that Floyd played in his whole career.
