NEW YORK (AP) -- New England Patriots wide receiver Terry Glenn sued the NFL Wednesday, saying it discriminated against him for a disability that prevented him from following certain rules in the league's substance abuse policy. The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, four days before the Patriots face the St. Louis Rams in the Super Bowl in New Orleans, alleged that since at least 1999 Glenn has had chronic depression, a disability recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Glenn, the Patriots' first-round draft pick in 1996, argued in the lawsuit that he should not have been suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the season for violating the substance abuse policy by missing a drug test. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the league hasn't seen the lawsuit, but, "based on our understanding of the allegations, we do not believe this represents a serious challenge to the suspension or our programs" regarding substance abuse. Glenn left the Patriots without permission the day the NFL suspension was announced and then was suspended for the season by head coach Bill Belichick. An arbitrator overturned that suspension, letting Glenn return for the fifth game, when he caught seven passes for 110 yards and a touchdown against the San Diego Chargers. He missed the next six games with a knee injury, was suspended for the next game then caught seven passes in the next three games. Glenn was listed among the inactive players for the regular-season finale. And on Jan. 10, he was suspended by the Patriots for the playoffs after what was described as "multiple unexcused absences." The lawsuit sought unspecified damages, saying Glenn has suffered from lost employment, pain, suffering, humiliation, embarrassment and damage to reputation.

Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00	I'm suing the Pats too. Their victory against the Steelers caused me to lose my financial income. If the Steelers won, I would have made $100 off the game. I'm also suing them for ruining some of my excitement for the Super Bowl. What a tool. Thanks to Brokenjaw for the sigpic Moss should have given the ball to his coaches to spike, or at least invited them onto the field to take part in the celebration, because they were the ones who made that score possible. But don't tell that to Randy, it would only take away from the glory he believes he deserves for being as great as he is.
