| 13 points clear! And it's not even March yet! Let's all laugh at Rangers!
Tell all the huns you know,
they'll never sell Ricksen or Flo!
Cheer up Dickie Advocaat,
oh what could it be,
to be a sad orange bastard,
and a shite football team!

| They still need a big man, and a third scoring option behind Pierce and Walker.

| Each and every year the SPL is won by Celtic or Rangers with Hearts every now and then competing near the top. By now one would think that the TARTANS would be much better served if Celtic/Rangers would be included in the Premiership. This would raise the level in both leagues because the SPL would be wide open with their teams, and the Premiership will have gained two(two) ! more outstanding organisations. The Old Firm derbies could still take place albeit in a different context. The SPL competition is one of the main reasons why Celtic/Rangers usually get ousted early on in the Champions League ...However Martin O'Neill is an awesome coach, and next year Celtic will advance further in Europe....also, he will be the next United Coach when Sir Alex steps down.

| It does my heart good to see an honest to goodness soccer discussion on this board. I have to agree with rommel, me and my friends would always make fun of rangers who would have all this talent, but still get embarrased in the champions league. Maybe if they joined the premierhship and got to play "world class" competition on a weekly basis they would be better prepared for the cup tournaments
Sometimes we can choose the path we follow. Sometimes our choices are made for us. And sometimes we have no choice at all.

| Bobo Balde banned for 2 matches
The big defender was charged by the SFA with the use of video evidence for an elbow on a Hibernian player in the Celtic-Hibs match of Feb. 2nd. The punishment fit the crime, but the repecussions will go a long way in determining the outcome of Celtic's two vital matches in the next 3 weeks.
Balde is banned for this Monday's SFA Cup Semifinal against Aberdeen. Additionally, the red-card puts Balde over the 12 disciplinary points threshold, thereby earning him a ban for the March 10th Old Firm derby.
The timing of the hearing against Balde, and the subsequent ban, has Celtic FC and their supporters in an uproar. Often accused of being Ranger sympathizers (or worse, Ranger supporters), the SFA was quick to judgment on this one. Now we have one of Celtic's key defenders out for the next two important matches of the season.
Fix? Collusion? Bigotted establishment? You'll never see this shit go down in American sport. But then again, the SFA has never been a fair and just outfit.

The title is coming back to its rightful home, yet again - Celtic Park.
Rangers are pathetic. Their support is worse. See my new thread.

On to the Scottish Cup Final!
Hail! Hail! The Celts are here!
What the hell do we care?
What the hell do we care?
Hail! Hail! The Celts are here!
What the hell do we care now?
For it's a grand old team to play for!
And it's a grand old team to see!
And if you know the history,
it's enough to make your hearts go oooooo...
We don't care what the animals say,
what the hell do we care?
For all we know that it's gonna be a show,
and the Glasgow Celtic will be there!

Narrow-minded, ugly Americans who refuse to acknowledge that an entire world of sport exists beyond the Lower 48 states would naturally reply in such a manner to this thread.
Now go back and read the whole thread, muppet.

| No, actually a democratic socialist. Communism is dormant. But then again, this is a sports board. And we all know that sports and politics don't mix very well.

| Celtic and the huns (Glasgow Rangers for the uninitiated) are reportedly on the verge of a shock move to the English Nationwide Division - also known as Division 1 - in the very near future.
Most predict both sidses of the Old Firm will gain promotion to the Englisg Premier League after one season.
