O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 01 | Let there be life... Yes I know they lost. But they played there asses off. Yes they are an AWFUL team. Aside from AI (the BEST player in the league) the team is full of journeymen slobs who'd be average players in the WNBA. However, they play with heart so they have my support. Unlike those POS's on ice that defile the orange and black's tradition of excellence. The Sixers are down two. But this series is not over yet...

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 01 | quote:First off Shaq, Duncan, and Garnett are big freaks who might have 20% of the agility and ball handling skills Iverson has. Iverson is TWICE the shooter they are. And yes I know you think this is absurd but consider the following. Yes Iverson shoots a lot and misses a lot. BUT he draws more heat than anyone on the floor. When he has bad shooting nights (aside from the usual bad night a player has during the course of a season) he is usually double or triple teamed. Even in this case he'll still usually score thirty. Nobody stops and pops faster than AI. NOBODY! So you'll say that well he should be distributing the ball better and getting his other teammtes involved. Here's a news flash: THE OTHER PLAYERS ON THAT TEAM SUCK!!! Even when they get the ball and have a WIDE open shot, they'll look to pass. Some may say it's cause they're "unselfish". Bullshit. They blow and they know it. So they leave the scoring to AI and consequently all the pressure and criticism that follows. Weber, Pierce and McGrady are great players but not as talented as AI. The only advantage they have on Iverson is their size. But he makes up for that (and then some) with his speed. Bottom line is Iverson won the scoring title (again) and led the league in steals (again, I think). Those guys didn't. AI is better.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jul. 01 | quote: When it is all said and done you can accomplish everything as an individual, but until you win a championship there will always be a question mark By your name. Look at Ewing, Barkley, Malone, and Stockton all great players that did not grab the last brass ring to complete their careers. Iverson is beyond exceptional, but he still has a way to go before he will reach that status. Look at Jordan’s early career he did the same thing self, shot the ball allot, and it was not until he got his supporting cast did he really take off.

Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | quote: 100% correct. Iverson is an incredible player, but until he wins a championship, he will never be considered in the absolute upper echelon of players. And no matter how hard he tries, he will never win a championship until he get a decent supporting cast around him. Which he doesn't have now. ___________________________________________________________________ I'm bigger than the Devil combined with Schindler's list.

Seeing Reggie Miller brought back nightmares of what he did to the Knicks all those times like the Spike Lee choke game or the 7 points in 8 seconds game. That guy is as clutch as anyone who ever played the game.

They had 1 bad year a few years ago because David Robinson was hurt, and they wind up with the #1 pick and get it in a year when Tim Duncan comes out. and of course they beat the Knicks to win the 1999 Championship. So cry me a river.

Psychopath Registered: Apr. 02 | Iverson is garbage - he is the most overated ATHLETE - nevermind basketball player - ever in the history of sports -- last week I was watching the Sixers/Celtics game - and Allen shot and missed, but they called it off because a papper air plane flew on teh court and the comentator (don't remember who) said - "See, That's why Iversons such a great player, he saw the plane comming and said, why not just get a practice shot off?" and that's why he missed" I'm so fucking sure he saw a plane comming from 40 feet away - People should die.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 01 | Very disappointing to say the least. The Sixers didn't really make a game of it. But bad teams lose, that's the way it goes. It was still a fun series. I bet more than one Boston fan shit their pants at least twice during the course of it. So to them I say: HA HA! And as for the rest of you playa haters: just keep being jealous. Overated? HA! Thug? HA! Who cares what you think? You don't know the man and you never will. Just keep thinking he's overated and a thug and he'll keep making your team look stupid on the court.

That is such a crock of shit when you win when you need to that what make you a champion. I don't care if it is 82 games or 10. It like fucking a chick I can nut in two minutes or fifteen I still nutted. FB, I was not crying I was stating facts, not like the whinney ass Knick fans. Knick's are so sorry that they got rid of there franchise player Ewing. You can say that he was past his prime, but you just don't do that to a player after he has given his team so much.
