Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | It was nice to see Stewart snow-plow Gordon on pit road after the race at Bristol..nothing major, just a little message sent. Gordon was knocking people out of the way all day - he deserved it.

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01 | Hey asshole gordon didnt spin anyone yesterday!!! You show me where Gordon hit stewart! He never touched him intentionally. I saw 4 different angles of the spin and it was dumbass Stewart who tried coming back to the apron and not let Jeff pass and spun himself Jeff never went up the track, Stewart tried coming down the track to stop gordon from passing.quote: HERE READ THIS By Stephen Thomas, CNNSI.com March 26, 2001 10:32 AM EST (1532 GMT) For the second time in two years, Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon Sunday got into an altercation on account of a rough racing incident. Last year's incident at Watkins Glen merely ended in shouts and "I'm-gonna-get-you" posturing, but this year's episode got just a little bit more heated -- and landed both of them in the "principal's office" after the race. After spinning out on the final lap of the Food City 500, Stewart dropped from fourth to 25th place... Things between Tony and Jeff were fine, for most of the day. But on the last lap of Sunday's Food City 500, Gordon ducked inside Stewart on the backstretch in an effort to take fourth. Of course, in so doing, Gordon put Stewart into the wall and dropped him all the way 25th. Then, after the race, Stewart spun Gordon on pit road. "I guess Tony didn't realize I was underneath him down the back straightaway," Gordon said, "'cause it was pretty obvious to me. We were just racing real hard. I did everything I could to keep from hitting him. I thought it was pretty clean." According to Stewart, "We just went into the corner together on the last lap and my spotter told me he was looking low. And without looking at the tape, he was a little further than that. "I didn't see him at the door," he continued. "I know that any time the rules have been reversed he's expecting me to lift….it's just racing. It's just Bristol. It's part of the deal." Part of the racing deal, perhaps, but Stewart's decision to spin Gordon was decidedly not -- and the primary reason why the boys were taken to the woodshed. "The reason we're in the trailer up here is 'cause I spun him on pit lane and that was wrong," a contrite Stewart said after emerging. "I could've hurt somebody and I apologize." ...while Gordon finished fourth. Gordon, who ignored the media after being excused by Mike Helton and Gary Nelson, walked to his hauler with his crew chief Robbie Loomis, smiling and chatting together as they went. Immediately after the race, he seemed a bit like the kid with his hand caught in the cookie jar, secure in the knowledge that what he had done wasn't technically wrong, just a bit … harsh. "That didn't surprise me one bit," Gordon said of Stewart's retaliation. Stewart, who spent a good bit more time being spoken to than did Gordon, was unsure what the end result of his second run-in with Gordon would be. "They're calling me tomorrow as far as what I did on pit lane," he said when asked if he had been fined or put on probation. "But that's the only thing that they really called us into the trailer for, they wanted to make sure there weren't any hurt feelings and there are not."

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | Are you for real??? First of all, Gordon was knocking people out of the way ALL DAY. It's the only way he can pass anybody on that track, ask Rusty. Second, of course Stewart would put his car to the bottom to block him, it's the LAST TURN, LAST LAP. Gordon's car was under the yellow line, so when he came back up on the track, he knew he would make contact with Stewart and spin him out. Take the rainbow colored glasses off.quote:

Psychopath Registered: Aug. 00 | I think you need to reread what Stewart said happened....he said that his spotter told him he was clear to come back down and he himself got right in front of Gordon and Gordon had no where else to go and rear ending him was the only thing that could happen. With 1/2 a lap left in the race anyone would have done the same thing! Stewart should very poor sportmanship my ramming Gordon at the end of the race. He needs to learn to control his temper! I think he deserves the $10,000 fine and 19 race probation he got from the Nascar officials. I dont think he can make it through 19 races without an issue. I will admit he is a good racer, but his sportmanship and attitude SUCK!! Besides Gordon learned from the best......THE INTIMIDATOR!!! Look what I did to you AGAIN! Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | I agree with everything you said Passion. Except with the part that Gordon had no place to go. I still think he calculated that move. Oh well..it's over now. Stewart does need to settle his temper down some, he could hurt eventually someone with one of his outbursts. If there wasn't a history between the two, this would be a non-issue. And yes, Gordon learned from the VERY BEST.

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | All you Earnhardt fans should hit a tree and taste your own blood(just like your fucking dead buddy). When that douche nozzel Earnhardt was alive, everyone said how great he was, and ALL he ever did was knock people out of races. But that was O.K. because he was the intimidater. Fuck him, and fuck you. Ask Terry Labbonte about getting knocked into the wall on the last lap of a race he had won until old, dead, scum bag put him into a wall. Also, I love that you all hate Gordon! Everyone booed Earnhardt when he Actually won races. They only started cheering him when he did not win for 100 straight races. Get over it, he's dead, and Gordon is alive.

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | 1. OK, you flaming rainbow fag, let's ask Terry how he feels about that. Oh wait, look, someone already has asked him, and look, here's the response: (from espn.com) Earnhardt was killed in an accident at the Daytona 500, and the memory Labonte has of the 1999 Bristol race will always be with him. Labonte was angry for a long time, but no longer. "I was a little disappointed in that, and he was, too," Labonte said. "He meant to hit me, but he never intended to spin me out. I knew that and a lot of other people didn't, and we talked about it. "It's just too bad it happened and it did. That's the way it goes." He laughs now when he thinks about the fan reaction to that wreck, especially the ones who couldn't believe Labonte never retaliated against Earnhardt. And he laughs at his ignorance for being the only one at the track that day that didn't think Earnhardt was going to try to nudge him out of the way. "It didn't surprise anybody but me," he said. "I thought 'He won't do that to me.' But he was pretty upset about it, I know he hated it." Doesn't look too pissed off, does he. 2. Looks like your rainbow warr...oops, Flamin' Fags finally found where Evernham hid all of the setup sheets, huh? Must kill you to see that #19 go around the track just knowing one day he'll be just as good as, or better than Gordon. All because of Ray Ray. 3. Don't come calling again until Gordon has more championships or wins than Earnhardt. Remember, YOU turned this into a nasty thread, we were just making points and having some fun with it.

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | Why don't you go eat some little E man butter cause I don't think daddy is producing any, anymore. Do you know what kind of win pace Gordon is on? Fuck Earnhardt, at this pace he will challenge the King! And as for championships, he may wind up with ten. He is going to win this years cup, with or without reys setup sheets. If Gordon was a dirty driver, he would have put that rookie into the wall a couple weeks ago, but he has too much class for that. Get in the coffin sir, and sey hello to Dale while your there.

Then Ernie Irvan, until he hit a wall head on and suffered severe head trama(sound familiar). No fucking shit dude. Listen, I aint starting shit, but I am sick and tired of listning to fucking Earnhardt guys bitching when Gordon does anything that could be interpited as dirty. Your fucking guy made a career out of it.

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | MS: Listen, I know Earnhardt made a career out of it, but he did come up through racing when it was acceptable, he just never stopped it. It's always been part of racin', and will always be. I know you're not tryin to start nothing, but the driving into a tree line and coffin remark were a little much, no? I just like to have fun with Gordon fans, most of them don't know a thing about racing. They picked Gordon cause he won every race for three years. You on the other hand have an appreciation for racing, being a Davey fan. Just lay off the coffin jokes. I bet you didn't want to hear it either a month after Davey was gone. -Later

O&A Board Veteran Registered: Jan. 01 | Hey three fag let me ask you a question. If that was Earnhardt instead of Jeff getting into it with Stewart what would you say? Thats what I thought you dumb fuck. Its ok for Earnhardt to do it but when someone else gets a guy a little lose and he goes up the track then to try and stop Gordon from going around him he comes back down the track into him and spins out it gordons fault? You are a tool for even thinking that! This message was edited by Tequila on 3-28-01 @ 12:06 AM

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | Hey tequila, what am I supposed to do, answer you before you're done typing? Just because you have no life and are up at midnight on a computer doesn't mean everyone else is. The only answer you guys ever give is "It was ok if Earnhardt did it" It was going on long before him, and will go on long after him. It's not ok, just call it like it is. Don't say "he tried to get him a little loose, and Stewart blocked him" Stewart had the position, Gordon drove his car so far under him he was on the FN APRON. If you can't see that, you're a bigger retard than I thought. Even Earnhardt would admit he was trying to rattle people, Gordon just wines that he doesn't know what he did wrong.
