O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Im glad the Rangers put up somewhat of an effort tonight and got the win, now tomorrow's game will actually sort of mean a little something. Ill be at the game tomorrow 3rd row from the glass in section 101, I was going to go with my Tood Harvey, white Liberty jersey, which they dont wear anymore for some reason, even though its cooler than the blue one. But instead I think I will go in honor of the trophy they will win tomorrow night, with my blue Liberty #16 LaFontaine Jersey, even though it barely still fits me. Should be a good game tomorrow and I expect some intense action as things got a bit fiesty out there tonight. I definetly expect a Purinton-Cairns battle before the night is through.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | yup Raven, thats the exact one I had from the 98-99 season. And then of course after I spend all the money for the jersey, he changes his number to #10. and then gets traded right before New Years 2000. And Menino, Harvey was sort of like a Sandy McCarthy right now. He played hard as hell and actually played with some inspiration, which lacks with about 90% of the Rangers. The only thing with Harvey was that he was injured 90% of the time. But the Rangers got Dvorak out of the deal so they are better off. I was going with the Harvey jersey tomorrow because I wanted to distance myself from the Current team, by wearing a Jersey of a guy who is no longer here, and a Jersey they dont wear anymore. And Im not wearing my Fleury Away Jersey with the strings (which I hate by the way) for obvious reasons. I also have a Home Verbeek Jersey, which the numbers are all peeled off, and an Away Graves Jersey from like 1993, which would fit me like a Stevie Richards bWo shirt. (obscure reference). O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00 | if you wanna distance yourself from this team then wearing a harvey jersey wont help bec his days here were on losing teams. go with a player from the 94 team. how about a larmer jersey that guy had grit or matteau jersey (actually wear that one saturday)

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | The only thing stopping me from wearing those jerseys is the fact that I dont have them. I want to distance myself from this particular Ranger team, not the one from 2 years ago. But the Matteau jersey definetly would be a nice touch for Saturday.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Just got back, another great experience. I dont know if you noticed the delays after the Islanders 3rd and 4th goals. The guy in front of me threw popcorn after both goals. The First time they didnt see him, the 2nd time they nailed him and escorted him out. He was a drunk Islander fan but he was pretty cool though, he was ripping on Terreri for 20 minutes because he was wearing Devils Goalie Pads. I got these 4 10 year olds in front of me to throw their hats on the ice after Dvorak's Hat Trick, and then their Dad yelled at them. That was funny. Theres no experience like a Rangers vs. Islanders experience, even when both teams suck. I wanted them to skate around with the LaFontaine Cup, I need to celebrate something.

But Im going to be working so I will miss the game, so I bet you they win, because Ive seen 23 straight non wins, it would figure that they would win if I dont see it.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00 | i've already given up hope on the rangers ever being good again..were gonna suck for the rest of eternity. we got one cup in 60 years and it was the toughest cup any team ever earned we had to fight like crazy for it. two game 7's one that went to overtime. any other team has it easy when they win it all but not us. |
