O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | is anybody watching this? i'm not a big golf fan, but the final day looks like it will be interesting. the top two players in the world, woods and mickleson, are separated by one stroke, and the little known guy dimarco is only two down. i'll probably watch the last couple of holes tomorrow, and i hope that mickleson beats woods to win his first major.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | It looks like he's going to win this thing unless someone comes out of the crowd and pops a cap in his ass. I can't believe Duval choked like that. he must be feeling realy good about now. This message was edited by imapervert on 4-8-01 @ 6:47 PM

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | It is pretty impressive. Everyone tries to bring their A game to the majors. For most golfers their whole career revolves around winning or doing well in one of the four Majors:
There are alot of great golfers that have never won any, take our third place winner today Phil Mickelson. He is a great golfer but he will never get the respect he deserves until he wins a major. It is an amazing feat that Tiger has won three(make that 4) majors in a row, perhaps not the most impressive but way upthere. This message was edited by imapervert on 4-8-01 @ 8:48 PM

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Actually Tiger has won FOUR Majors in a row. I think Tiger has to start being considered as the best golfer ever and one of the top athletes ever. Okay, golf isnt really a sport, but still. lol The grand slam is the ultimate goal, usually it is considered to be winning all four majors in the same year. But this is essentially a grand slam, four in a row, just not in the same year. The new season allows him a chance to get a "real" grand slam. Long Live Syndication Underground! O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | He's still not the greatest golfer ever. He could die tommorow and Jack Nicklaus would have had a better career than him. But at the pace he is at right now, he'll be in the fuckin stratosphere when his career is over. Oh and Golf IS a sport, fuck you very much.;)

Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | This is to set the record straight... Jack Nicklaus is the greatest golfer to date... Tiger, barring an untimely death, will break every record in the book. And he has 5 (five) majors at the age of 25...most golfers hit their prime at 35-40...do the math. I feel privileged to witness both Jack and Tiger in my lifetime (yes, I'm a golf-loving tool). In response to the previous post, when golfers are not busy, we THINK about golf...

Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | The one interesting thing about golf (to me cause I've never played myself) is that it's the only truly individual sport -- no defense, no direct competition. And it's pretty remarkable when one man is undisputably better than everyone else... we'll have to see how long he can sustain it, but already it's one of the great dynasties of all time...
