O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Even though the Knicks have been struggling down the stretch and are currently in the 4th slot, with just 2 games remaining, they have a great shot at getting the very important #3 seed and avoiding Toronto in the First Round and Philadelphia in the 2nd Round. With 2 games left, the Knicks trail Miami by 1 game. But the Knicks have a MUCH Easier schedule. KNICKS FINAL 2 GAMES At Cleveland DETROIT HEAT FINAL 2 GAMES MILWAUKEE At Orlando. Tim Hardaway is hurt right now and will miss the final 2 games of the season. Marcus Camby is hurt, but the Knicks shouldnt need him to win their Final 2 Games. The Knicks hold the Tiebreaker against the Heat which is HUGE. If the Knicks win both games against Cleveland and Detroit which they should and they better, then Miami Will have to win both games against 50+ win Milwaukee, and Orlando, the same team that blasted Miami today in Miami. Even if the Knicks lose one of the two games, which knowing the Knicks, is very possible, they would still have a chance, because it is possible that the Heat could lose both games to Milwaukee and Orlando. Here is what the difference is between the #3 and #4 seed. #4 seed you will play Toronto in the First Round, which is a much tougher opponent than either Charlotte or Orlando. If you get by them, you play Philadelphia in the 2nd Round #3 seed you will play either Charlotte or Orlando in the First Round, which are two teams that have struggled down the stretch and are not as tough as Toronto, and then you play Milwaukee in the 2nd Round, a team that has very very little playoff experience and should get eaten up in the Big spot. If Camby is healthy for the Playoffs, and the Knicks get that #3 seed, The Knicks will win the East in my humble opinion, because they will have the road they need, and lets face it April and May is when the Knicks play their best Basketball.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | i totally agree. the knicks need the 3 seed to get to the finals. and its a strong possibility that they will get it since tim hardaway is out and anthony carter is a less than spectacular point guard for the heat. with the way kurt thomas, othella harrington, and glen rice have been playing lately combined with the weak frontcourts of cleveland and detroit, the knicks should win both games. i'm sure the heat will lose at least one of those games and the knicks can get that 3 seed. hopefully camby will be back to full strength come playoff time, and i agree that if the knicks end up playing philadelphia in the conference finals they will win. the knicks always turn it up when the playoffs come around, and they have the most experience in the east.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | These last two games mean everything. IMHO, if the Knicks get the #3 seed, they're going to the finals. If they get #4, they probably won't. Also, Camby is going to be the key to their success. They can do fine without him against poorer teams, but to do well in the playoffs, they need him healthy. Will they win the champioship? Call me a cynic, but I doubt it. However, they should win the east. Smoke Weed Everyday
