| What is the general consensus on old Timmy boy. I hear a lot of negative things said about him. It seems that anyone who is a true baseball fan would like him, if not for anything else but the great insight that he brings to a game.

| You're right about him bringing insight to the game. But he's way too full of himself. Not to mention he's just irritating as hell.

| McCarver is still a Met/NL fan at heart. He attempts to be objective most of the time but sometime he slips up. At times you can tell it burns his ass that he has to cover the Yankees. I can't stand the bastard. I turn of the sound when FOX has the game and listen to WABC.

| I disagree, as a Mets fan I used to enjoy Tim especially when he would broadcast with Gary Thorne

| I like McCarver when he does the Mets games, and you're right, he & Gary Thorne make a great team. But nothing is better than listening to Seaver & Kiner in the booth.

| I hate the fucking prick. He's almost as annoying as Bob Costas. He criticizes managers because he doesn't agree with their decisions. If he is so damn smart, why isn't he in the dugout? Just cause he doesn't agree means it's wrong and he can never shut up about it. He whines about 1 bad play for an inning and a half, when there is a damn GAME going on. I like Bobby Murcer with him though, it evens out Tim's arogance.
