We all love to talk about the great things our teams do, or the great feats we witness, but how about the times when you wish you could bury your head in the sand? I'm don't want to hear about things you found funny because they happened to another team, rather those times when YOUR beloved team let you down, or times when you as a participant were involved in such an incident. As most of you know, I am a Flyers fan, so I do believe that my first nominee will be that debacle of a hockey game that took place yesterday. But as a Philly fan, there are many things to hang your head about. When I was about 13, we had season tickets to the Eagles, and at the time they were a very poor excuse for a football team. One home game versus the Giants, the people who sat in front of us had given their tickets to some friend from NY. These guys were about 25 or so, all decked out in Giants gear. Well, the Eagles got stomped, I believe LT had 3 sacks that day, and the guys in front of us were completely cool, didn't start any trouble, even began rooting for the pathetic Eagles to score..... well as the game is ending, the seats are clearing out and this scumbag Philly guy walks up the aisle and extends his hand to one of the Giants fans...... and proceeds to sucker punch him square in the jaw...... real class right? Well, a really cool riot broke out, in which my old man broke the scumbags jaw, but the whole incident was truly embarrassing.... I was sad to admit to being a Philly guy that day. Say hello to my little friend(s)! Once again I am newbieless.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | My first game at Yankee stadium. It was the early 90s, or perhaps the late 80s, and they were playing Detroit. Well, needless to say, the Yankees got absolutely raped, but thats not the embarassing part. They committed 6 errors, and the one and only highlight of the game was a Steve Balboni homer in the bottom of the ninth. Unfortunately, the only people to see the Yankee's single run were the hundred or so people left in the stadium. A friend with weed is a friend indeed. A friend without it is a friend in need. I felt that was just plain embarrassing for hockey. 2) Bowman trades away Rene Robert. 3) The Bills just giving up in the 4th Superbowl after Dallas got the lead. 4) Hearing this lead singer of a shitty cover band say "The Blue Jays Suck" after Joe Carter hits "the" home run. 5) The Buffalo Braves 6) Game 5 of this series (Buf-Phi). Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | Jets: Had to be the Marino fake spike play at the goal line to absolutely roon our season from that point on. Also - going 10-1 in '86, blowing everybody out, and limping into the playoffs 10-6. Then, to be up 10 points with 2:10 to go, have the Browns tie the game, then Pat Leahy misses a chip shot of a field goal in OT against the Browns in the conf. semis. That was our last respectable team until Parcells showed up in '97.
