O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	Mario Lemieux returned to another lineup Friday. The Penguins' player/owner, who came out of retirement this season, was one of three finalists for the Hart Trophy for the NHL's most valuable player. He will compete against teammate Jaromir Jagr and Avalanche forward Joe Sakic. Lemieux has won the award three times. The winners in each category will be announced June 14 at the NHL Awards television special from the Air Canada Center in Toronto (ESPN2, 8 p.m. ET). O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00	How can somebody who missed 3 months of the season be nominated for MVP? There is no question how great Lemieux was, but lets look at these facts. He missed 3 months. And when he came to the Penguins, they were in 7th Place in the East. They finished in 6th Place. They moved up 1 Spot with Mario Lemieux. It will be a disgrace if Joe Sakic doesnt come out with the Hart Trophy. Here are my other winners. Selke (Defensive forward) John Madden (Devils) Mike Modano (Stars) Sakic (Avalanche) WINNER- John Madden. One of the most dangerous Penalty Killers on both ends. Calder (Best rookie) Martin Havlat (Senators) Evgeni Nabokov (Sharks) Brad Richards (Lightning) Im surprised Shane Willis of Carolina wasnt nominated but this Reward goes to EVEGENI NABAKOV who had a great season in goal for San Jose. Norris (All-around defenseman) Ray Bourque (Avalanche) Nicklas Lidstrom (Red Wings) Scott Stevens (Devils) WINNER- Nicklas Lidstrom. Sorry all you Scott Stevens lovers. Vezina (Best goaltender) Martin Brodeur (Devils) Roman Cechmanek (Flyers) Dominik Hasek (Sabres) WINNER- Martin Brodeur. He earned his first Vezina no doubt. Lady Byng (Sportsmanship) Nicklas Lidstrom (Red Wings) Adam Oates (Capitals) Joe Sakic (Avalanche) WINNER- Joe Sakic, like it really matters. Jack Adams (Best coach) Bill Barber (Flyers) Scotty Bowman (Red Wings) Jacques Martin (Senators) WINNER- Jacques Martin. I think Marc Crawford got screwed over here, he would have definetly been it had Vancouver not folded toward the end.
