Yes yes, it is a great day in the sports world as the Sixers have become the Eastern Conference Champions. Three days from now when they start getting spanked by the Lakers, I will be a very cranky person but tonight...... I am on cloud nine! Congrats to the Sixers!

I hate basketball, but I am rooting for the Lakers in this one. I can't stand any team from PHI especially Iverson. So Let's go Lakers. + I am looking for repeat champs this season.

i saw this game and i have to vent at something that really bothers me. whats with the sixers acting like they just won the title after the game. they havent won anything yet but they jump around and carry iverson. i also dont like when teams get championship rings when you win your confrence but come in second overall. it used to be when you won your confrence it was no big deal but now they throw you a parade

M. Menino- Waiting for the glorious day O and A pass Howard the deek in the ratings (only 2.8 to go)

Good job by the Sixers tanking the last Game against the Bulls and now they have no Home Court.

With Home Court Advantage against the Lakers they would have had a 1% chance of winning the series.

Now they have 0%.

But I am rooting for the Sixers. They are the HUGE underdogs, and if they won it would be one of the Greatest Upsets in Sports History.

How weird is that considering they have the same regular season records. Some of it is probably attributed to the fact that the West is much better than the East.

What if they played a hurt Iverson in that game and he injured himself so badly that he would miss the rest of the playoffs. I wouldn't question the Coach of the Year, Francine. At least not on that move.

I hate the sixers. Iverson is such a piece of trash. I can respect his ability, but he is an all-around piece of shit as a person. Go Lakers.

I have never been terribly impressed with Iverson's character, but he has truly grown this season. I'm not ready to give him a Nobel prize, but it seems that Larry Brown has certainly made some positive changes in Iverson's attitude. Unfortunately, the growing trend in sports today seems to be players with attitude.

Ok well then answer this for me.

Why was Allen Iverson still in the Game last night with 2 minutes left and the Sixers up 18. And what Happened, Iverson drives to the lane and falls on his wrist! What if he would have been hurt for the Finals there.

The Sixers should have known the circumstances. I thought about it at the time when the Sixers were losing bad games down the stretch. Im sure they would love that Home Court right now. ESPECIALLY considering the 2-3-2 Format, which means you get the last TWO games at home, which is a huge advantage and no team has ever won the middle 3 games at Home.

Francine, If you knew about it at the time, don't you think Larry Brown did? Obviously his priorities were different than your's though. Did you see how much pain Iverson was going through thus far in the playoffs. He even had to miss a crucial game. Brown anticipated this and sat him down the last couple of regular season games. It was the least he could do for Iverson. There was no guarantee that the LAkers would make the finals, however, without, Iverson, there would be no way the Sixers would make it. I think fans are quick to judge whether players should play or not without knowing anything about their health condition. The Coaches and others directly involved in the team know best.

I think that is nitpicking. It was game 7, the stakes were much larger, and taking Iverson out at the 5 minute mark rather than the 2 minute mark is different than sitting him an entire game rather than playing him

What makes me laugh is that My turn is arguing with Francine when we all know that the Lakers are going to finish their sweep of the post season. While I was impressed with the Sixers, they have NO CHANCE IN HELL of beating the Lakers!

the lakers are totally motivated to become a dynasty. shaq and kobe are the two best players in the game and no team, let alone the sixers, can stop them.

i just heard that if you bet $100 on the sixers to win the series, you will win $1800. to win $100 on the lakers however, you have to put up $2500.

If the Sixers were healthy..... basically meaning that if Snow was 100% and George Lynch was playing, they might actually have a pretty good chance to make it interesting and take it to 6 maybe 7 games. But, such is life, they are not healthy, and there are no excuses. I have very little hope that they can win the series, but that team plays with so much heart..... well, everybody except for Geiger..... I would love to see them just pull off a game....maybe even 2.

Damn, I'm likin those odds. I wonder what the line is for Philly to sweep, 100-1? 200-1? Looks like Vegas is buyin the hype. Remember, same regular season records..
