O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Wizards buy out Richmond contract -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Associated Press Richmond WASHINGTON -- The Washington Wizards bought out the final two years of shooting guard Mitch Richmond's contract for $10 million, the Washington Post reported Saturday. The 36-year-old Richmond becomes a free agent. Injuries to both knees limited him to 37 games last season, when he averaged 16.2 points, compared with a career average of 22.2, and lost his starting job to second-year guard Richard Hamilton. Calls by The Associated Press to the Wizards were not immediately returned. The move clears $10 million from the payroll for the season after next and help make room under the salary cap, giving the Wizards more options in pursuing free agents. Richmond joined the Wizards before the 1998-99 season in a trade that sent forward Chris Webber to the Sacramento Kings. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Probably on a losing team. The guy never seems to have any luck. He was on the Kings for years while they were pitiful, and he leaves just as they get good. Same might happen here with Jordan and Barkley possibly coming to the Wizards. I Just Wanna F the S out of your Sister

Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Mitch will just wait a few years and then reform Run TMC in some men's league somewhere. ------------------- But there's also this: there are over 5,000 men in this city, who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamourless, thankless job that's gotta be done. I know it, too, and I'm damn glad to be one of them."
