June 24th, 1995. Brendan Byrne Arena. Section 207, Row 18, Seat 8

I remember this night for two reasons. One, of course, the New Jersey Devils won the Stanley Cup, and I was their to see my team raise the Cup as Champions.

Secondly, i remember it because it was the first time, in a very long time, than me and my father forgot all our fighting and our anger twords eachother and for a few hours, we partied and celebrated as a loving father and a loving son. We havn't had many moments like that since that day, but that one day and night, i will remember till the day i die.

When the Red Sox won the World Series in my lifetime. Oh wait, well maybe some day. Till then I'll wait.

Other then that I would say it was when I was 12 and my grandfather took me to my first game at Fenway. It was the return of Oil Can Boyd from a drug suspension and it was a sell out. Lots of fun.

Shoring..don't Defile my thread again, thank you.

My second greatest was my 9th birthday, my dad got Tix to the Giants - Jets pre-season game. it was so fucking cool. it was my first game at Giants Stadium, and me, being only a 9 year old, it looked like the Roman Coliseum, it was just, incredable. Giants won the game, then me and my dad forgot where we parked the car, so we had to wait for the Parking lots to empty out. it was a most memorable night

My first time ever at a baseball game sometime in the early '80s, Mets vs Dodgers(I think). Mookie Wilson's bat slipped out of his hands during a swing and flew into the stands nailing someone in the head a few rows infront of me. I got really upset that this guy was bleeding, and to calm me down one of the nearby venders gave me a bunch of free stuff. Other than that all the sports events I attended pretty much sucked.

Although its already been mentioned....
Hooters (BIG tits and a BIG screen TV), me and my two best friends (from childhood and all of us die-hard yankee fans), game 6 of the '96 World Series. The pandemonium that happened after was the absolute best time I ever had, and the love that everyone had in that restaurant was priceless.

My Best Game was Mets-Yankees July 10, 1999, Matt Franco's Game Winning Hit off Rivera. In what was a classic game from beginning to end.

Worst Moment- October 26, 2001 Game 5 of the World Series. Piazza's flyball going into Bernie Williams glove.

for me it was about 5 years ago, me, my brother dad and nephew got behind the plate tickets at shea to see the mets vs cubs. Sosa, hundley, and I think gilkey hit hrs. The best part was when mets pitcher pete harnish got beaned at the plate and slugged the cubs catcher creating a bench clearing brawl. The game was delayed for a half hour. At the same time every one was keeping tabs on the Knicks/bulls playoff game, when they were both good. The game ended with the mets winning by a hr in the 9th, but I forget who hit it.

The next home game at Yankee Stadium after Thurman Munson died, they shut all the lights in the stadium before the game and shined a bright spot light on home plate for a moment of silence for Thurman. Will never forget it.

Doc Gooden no-hitter in 1996, made better by the fact that the tickets were free b/c we braved the snow on Opening Day.

mikeWOW, I can sympathize with you. I was supposed to go to that Cone game with my brother-in-law; his parents told him on Friday that they were coming up on Sunday, so we had to reschedule for Saturday (the day JFK Jr. died). After the last out, I left a nasty message on his machine. When they got home, his parents heard it and didn't realize I was kidding, his mom started crying because they rooned our chance to be there.

I'm not a big Jets fan, but I was at the game where Testaverde "crossed" the goal line against the Colts, the same year that they almost made the Super Bowl. That moment was so cool for me, especially since i was sitting right behind the end zone where it happened. I am going to a Mets game tonight so hopefully I can watch an even more exciting moment.

Yea i be taking that zoloff, but thaz jus keepin me from killin y'all.

Cluster F, if we are thinking of the same game, that was against the Seahawks. It cost them a playoff berth and cost Dennis Erickson his job.

Believe it or not, that was the same officiating crew that f-ed up the coin flip at the Steelers/Lions Thanksgiving Day game that year.

Sloats you beat me to it.
I was just about to say that game was against the Seahawks.

So I gues it wasnt that memorable for you after all Cluster.

I am going to a Mets game tonight so hopefully I can watch an even more exciting moment.

The Mets scoring a Run is about as exciting as it gets.

Hmm, there's so many... I was at that Matt Franco Mets-Yanks game, too. It was awesome. Game 5 vs. the Cardinals last year was kick ass, as well.

I remember November 1992: Penn beats Harvard 33-0 to win the Ivy League championship and complete an undefeated season.

Also, December 1994: after driving 10 hours from Philly to Ann Arbor, we watch Penn defeat #25 Michigan, a win that combined with beating #25 St. John's, launches them to #21 by January.

Coulda sworn it was against the Colts, and i still for some reason think that. If there is somewhere that i could check that out, id apprecaite it. I told you im not a jets fan though lol, so my selective memory might be kicking in.

And my mets moment did not happen tonight, i ant believe i picked the night that Traschel pitched.

Yea i be taking that zoloff, but thaz jus keepin me from killin y'all.

October 1986. My Mom and Dad let me stay up late just in time to watch Mookie's dribbler up the line get past Bill Buckner and Ray Knight score. The Curse lives on.
But in recent memory would have to be:

September 1999. After not making the playoffs in 10 years the Mets played their last home game at Shea of the regular season. Mets were 2 out with 3 to play and came back to eventually get the Wild Card. Runner at third, tie game, Piazza steps up. Guy on the Pirats throws a wild pitch, Melvin Mora scores, Mets win. I will always get goose bumps thinking of Gary Cohen on the FAN screaming "THE NEW YORK METS WILL PLAY ON IN 1999!!!"

And of course Alan Houston waving goodbye to the trash Heat fans after his basket with .7 seconds left eliminated them from the playoffs.

Man, there are a lot.
