O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00	OTTAWA (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators on Thursday acquired left wing Eric Lacroix from the New York Rangers in exchange for left wing Colin Forbes. The 29-year-old Lacroix, whose father Pierre is the general manager of the Colorado Avalanche, played in 26 games with the Rangers, scoring two goals and three assists. He had 39 penalty minutes and a minus-6 rating. Lacroix missed 11 games from November 22 to December 12 due to a broken finger. The move to Ottawa marks Lacroix's fifth NHL organization. He was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the seventh round in the 1990 draft and was traded to the Los Angeles Kings four years later. In 1996 Lacroix was acquired by the Colorado Avalanche. After two seasons, Colorado returned the seven-year veteran back to the Kings before the Rangers acquired him on February 12, 1999 for Sean Pronger. Forbes, 25, had one assist, 31 penalty minutes and a plus-3 rating in 39 games for the Senators. Not a major trade, but whatever. Rangers Suck!

O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00	How is it a stupid trade. Its just one of those trades where you look at it and say. Ah Big Deal and move on. Eric Lacroix was pretty much useless, and I think Colin Forbes is a better player anyway, not that its going to mean anything.

Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 01	i think it is a positive move for the rangers. they gave up nothing and on the surface it looks like they got nothing in return. but forbes in 25 6'3 and 205lbs. rangers need to bulk up and they did with this trade. plus they gave up nothing. adopted by slackjaw

O&A Board Regular Registered: Sep. 00	rangers need to change players just for the sake of changing team attitude. i mean most of the players the rangers got now are losers so we need to get rid of that attitude and bring in players from winning teams
