| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | It is the points system where you pick your own players under a salary cap. Players increase and decrease in value depending upon the week they have. There are several types of leagues you can join, including a Public league, which anyone else can seek out and join; a Private league, which is restricted to people with the league password; or a Winners league, which is exclusively for winners of last season's Fantasy Football leagues. Private leagues are recommended for serious players because they allow a league to screen potential owners. Owners can only join the league if given the league password by a league member. This helps ensure a high level of participation throughout your league. There are two different ways to draft your players: a Live Draft, where all 12 owners are logged-in to the on-line "draft room" simultaneously; and an Automated Draft, where CBS SportsLine.com's "draft robot" drafts players for you, based on the order of your Rank Lists. Rank lists are lists of eligible NFL players that each owner arranges in order of his/her draft preference. If you participate in a Live Draft, you will create a single rank list, to be used to draft players for you in the event you have to step away during the Live draft. Click on View Leagues to see a list of available leagues to join. If you decide to join a Live Draft league, be sure to choose a league with a draft date and time that is convenient for you. If you have viewed the list of leagues with openings and didn't find one you were interested in joining, you can create a new league. Click Create New League. Regardless of the type of league or draft style you choose, keep in mind that if there are not 12 owners in the league on the draft date you specify, the draft will not occur and all owners (including you) will have to join different leagues. STEP 2: Rank Players. Regardless of the type of draft you choose, you should organize the rank list(s) of NFL players. As stated, for Live Drafts, one rank list will be used as a backup in case you don't make a selection in the allotted time. For Automated Drafts, multiple lists are used to determine the players drafted for your team. By organizing rank lists, you give your team the best chance of drafting the players you want. Otherwise, CBS SportsLine.com's default lists are used. Click here for information on how these lists are used during an Automated or Live draft. If you plan to conduct a Live draft, click here for the complete guide to preparing for, and participating in the Live draft. STEP 3: Stay Informed. To see which league you're in; the draft date and time; and the other owners in your league, click on My Team. To view the official rules, click on Rules at the bottom of any page. If you have any questions, click on Help at the bottom of any page, or the question mark icon at the top-right of any page. Also, please review News, Site News frequently for the latest news about our web site, including new and updated features, links to chat sessions and other helpful suggestions for using our site. STEP 4: Draft. On the morning of your draft day, you will receive an e-mail from CBS SportsLine.com with instructions on how to proceed. If you elected to participate in an Automated Draft, the draft will be conducted automatically, after which you will be able to log on to your league's web site. For Live Draft leagues, you will be able to log on to your league's web site the morning of your draft day. When you log into the web site on your draft day, there will be a Draft option on the toolbar. Use this to enter the draft room for Live Draft leagues or view the results of the Automated Draft. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Come on people this will be a fun league and you get to pick what players you want and try to fit them under a salary cap. The better you do, the more value your players get and you have more money to work with. I have done this the last 2 years and there is a lot of strategy with this game. | ||||
