| O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | i am not surer nor do i care the season is over ...... what they did was look for the future.... trading reed wendel & cook made alot of room in the cap.... now if philips can just use his brain & sign some free agents in the off season... like giambi... screw zeile he is old & useless... we need very little pitching being that this young kid in AAA might be able to step up into the rotation next season (Jae Weong Seo).... so we have a replacement for reed there... we now have a good out fielder in lawton & we should have a healthy payton (hopefully) & we have both agbayani & shinjo.... so we are looking good already... so if philips gets off his ass in the off season we will not have to worry bout how the mets are doing now because the season is over.... we just have to wait & see what happens  E-Mail= E-Mail Me AIM= OABaLLooNNoT METS will go ALL THE WAY THIS YEAR !!!!!!!!!!! | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | I was at the game today and the boos were deafening for Steve Phillips when he came up to give a speech for Gary Carter before the game. That must have made him feel special. I would rather see Gay Marco and Stalker Patty on 1st and 3rd Base, than Zeile and Ventura. Zeile and Ventura are together in a some charity project called "Hit the Books". I say they both "Hit the Road".  | ||||

Why do I have to see vendors walking around selling Mark McGwire pennants at our Stadium. I would love to see the day, that Mike Piazza pennants are being sold at Busch Stadium and Cardinals fans are chearing when he hits a Homerun there. | ||||

And no im not counting reserves like Joe McEwing and Desi Relaford. In fact, I bet the Mets are probably over. 500 since Piazza died his hair.
