Old Bands you would have liked to have seen live - JimmyBlueEyes - 09-13-2003 I'm sitting here discussing bands that I've seen live over the past 12 years. What are some of the older bands, pre 90's, that you have either seen, or bands that have broken up that you would have liked to have seen? I saw KISS, Megadeth, Metallica, Suicidal, Anthrax, Twisted Sister, Slayer, Primus, Alice in Chains. Bands I would have liked to have seen. Led Zepplin just to say I did. Gwar, The Misfits(Danzig Era) Metallica with Cliff. Manowar. Discuss. Old Bands you would have liked to have seen live - Flock of Moosen - 09-13-2003 I've seen my favorite band AC/DC twice with Brian Johnson, but never with Bon Scott. I would have loved to have seen him live because I think he was a far better singer. Hell, you could actually understand Bon. Led Zep would have been cool too, just to say I did like Jimmy said. Old Bands you would have liked to have seen live - GreasyItalianPrincess - 09-13-2003 The Doors Jimi Hendrix (one with the Experience and one with Band Of Gypsys) Pink Floyd (one pre-Dark Side, one post the Wall) Nirvana Old Bands you would have liked to have seen live - Wookies Cruel Circus - 09-13-2003 A bunch of obvious ones come to mind... The Beatles, Floyd, the young Stones, plus Janis Joplin, the original Parliament lineup, the Miles Davis Qunintet, and anything with Coltrane and Monk. I would have liked to have seen Van Halen with David Lee, though I saw them with Sammy. (And not now, with Dave at 40+ years old, either...) But the A-number one would have to be Zeppelin. I saw the first Page and Plant tour, and that was such an amazing tease, I can only imagine how great the full, live Led Zeppelin experience must have been. Old Bands you would have liked to have seen live - Wookies Cruel Circus - 09-13-2003 I saw The Temptations and The Four Tops together in Vegas. I liked them better with Sammy...I can't stand David Lee Roth. I've seen: Loverboy (go ahead and laugh but they WERE popular at one point), Springsteen, Journey, Styx, Motley Crue, Whitesnake, Poison, Bon Jovi. I always wanted to see Def Leppard, but haven't made it there yet. Kiss would be cool too. I really wanted to see Garth Brooks in Central Park, but my mom wouldn't babysit for me. No interest in seeing most of the other bands mentioned. Old Bands you would have liked to have seen live - Lush - 09-13-2003 Quote:Originally posted by Hawt BauxI saw him twice. Once with Juliana Hatfield and once at Tower records on broadway and w.4th. He was amazing both times. I even had the pleasure of meeting him. To this day, I can't listen to his music without tearing up. The only band I would have liked to have seen was The Beatles preferably at Shea. |
