I'm thinking the rope was used in some form or another...perhaps lassoed around a tree or something....pulled yourselves in like that?

That was the simplest and most effective solution. Then we walked to the truck and got the battery. I got home at 4 am. But I did catch a shitload of fish and 2 of the biggest Ive ever seen.
