Actually, Affleck blames Gigli bombing on not being properly marketed. Discussing ANOTHER Ben/Jlo vehicle, (Jersey Girl) he said something like "Now they'll know to market it as something other than Ben and Jen together in a movie" Yeah, crappy marketing is why the a movie about a skinny totally nonthreatening hitman watching and being mean to his retarded brother while converting a totally nonthreatening lesbian hitwoman back to heterosexuality with zero chemistry and only mildly passable acting skill failed.

Wait, what was this thread about?

Noelle wins. Big Grin

Your prize, of course, is two (TWO!) round-trip tickets to see the filming of Gigli 2, plus a DVD collection of Ishtar, Waterworld, The Postman, Hudson Hawk, and every Police Academy movie not starring Steve Guttenberg.

Jersey Girl's is testing so poorly, Kevin Smith is recutting it so JLo dies in first 15minutes.

It's a trick to get you to text your friends that the movie "just got interesting."

So let me understand this... they're saying that movies are sucking wind because people are able to quickly share their opinions?

Seems to me that they are blaming their shitty movies on the people that see them and give an honest opinion to their friends.

The solution: make good movies, get good reviews from movie-goers.

Done and done.

That concept is lost on Hollywood Executives, though.
