it's ok. nasa will think of something.. remember Armageddon?

on the contrary, remember "Deep Impact"?

:disappointed:

so much for being motivated to enroll into a 401K or some other hoity toity high falootin' retirement fund.

and actually - I rather go out in a bang than in a whimper. So, after 2 months we'll know for sure whether or not we're going to bite the big one collectively?

Think they would ever actually annouce it?
Rolleyes

how long did they know about the meteor before it hit in Deep Impact? In Armageddon, i think it was 6 days, right?

In Deep Impact I think they knew for like 14 months or something like that.

It sure wasn't the typical Brockheimer melodramatic scenario of "6 days left to save the world".

Either way - we'd be fucked. No way in hell would we be able to stop an asteroid from pimp-smackin Mother Earth up like a ho that owed the galaxy money.

We'd pay up and like it. Confusedniffle:

HB, can I play with Animal Crackers on your belly and chest and then slide them under your waistband and eat them out of there.

Apparently that helps.

"I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again..."

Okay, this is the real selling point, your father singing in the background as we make out. What do you say? It's for the worlds survival.

Okay, if we had 6 days or 14 months, maybe.... but 10 years? I think we'd be able to figure something out. As long as we launch something within, say, 3 years, that will get to the asteroid with years to spare, then it would probably only need a small trajectory correction to knock it off of an Earth-crossing orbit....

Fhore better start apologizing to the world now for this catastrophe.
