Yes, yes it should If you follow British spelling. As a Canadian, we still follow many British things. Up until a few years ago, we were still singing "God Save Our Queen" in our public schools. (ummm....maybe a decade gone actually).

Put the toilet seat down. the rest of us don't hover over the bowl, we sit on it. the round thing on the hinges is a "seat" if you operate this simple machine properly, you can actually rest your posterior on it, thus preventing any free swinging appendages from dipping into the water.
