I saw what we did to the Moon with nukes when we tried to get it ready for colonization. The Earth was thrown into total chaos because of losing the gravitational pull of the Moon. Quote:Originally posted by FollowThisLogic No thanks again. I saw what happened to the people of Mars when they shut off the air filtration systems. It wasn't a pretty sight. Seriously though, it is a good idea to start formulating a plan for stuff like this. We may never see the full benefits of it in our lifetime, but future generations will and there may come a time when it's needed for survival. Better to get started on it now before it's too late. Personally I would have preferred them to work out the kinks in the space defense system they have since last I saw it doesn't work too well. The success rate of stopping incoming missiles isn't very high and that isn't a comforting thought. Quote:Originally posted by madmick I was actually thinking about starting a topic on this a few days ago. I know most people will just dismiss this as a huge hoax and say it is completely unbelievable. For the most part (99%) I do too, but there is a small part of me that also says "what if?" It's not a wise thing to be completely close-minded to the unknown and if God forbid this is true, it's some scary shit. |
