Timeless - Sloats - 11-04-2003 Let's just see it two generations from now who never grew up too it as new or pounded on the radio will still want to listen to it. Timeless - header - 11-04-2003 Quote:Originally posted by 60FeetUnderWater I understand that by the true definition of hit they had one hit. But calling them a one hit wonder makes it seem like they had one hit and then disappeared. Which while they did break up in the late 90s they hardly disappeared after their hit. They continued to rock and were major inspirations to several bands that began sprouting up in the mid 90s until now. Then again it does make me feel good to think I know about all those cool albums while most other people think they disappeared. Timeless - sweet angel - 11-04-2003 What? Nobody mentioned Poison? If you want to talk one hit wonders, how about Biz Markie...would he count as timeles? Wait, maybe that's the problem...I'm too old. :disappointed: Timeless - Lush - 11-04-2003 Quote:Originally posted by Black LazerusShe had 9/10 pants and a very big bra Timeless - sweet angel - 11-04-2003 You, you got what I need...but you say he's just a friend..... Timeless - 60FeetUnderWater - 11-04-2003 Biz Markie may not be timeless (to me) but that one song definitely is. Timeless - Lush - 11-04-2003 I believe that timeless has nothing to do with who your favorite bands are, which some people have confused. I think Hawt Baux had it the second time around with some of the bands she named and yes even Hottie had some. Timeless bands are simply bands that were so original and that sound could never be replicated and forever appreciated. Even though their sound was at most times sappy; The Beach Boys should be included in this and so should the Ramones, for that matter. With each generation certain bands rehash itself, therefore making them timeless. |
