I was actually considering this myself, but when I asked the ophthalmologist (yes, I looked up the spelling to get it right
) about it they said since your eyeballs changes shape it's a possibilty that even after the surgery years later your eyes could be bad again. Seems like a waste of money to me if that's the case.

I had it done about 3 years ago and by far it's one of the best things I've ever wasted money on. The first time I turned over in the middle of the night and read the clock without having to hunt for my glasses was incredible.
I used Dr. Filatov and only paid about $2600. I also had horrible astigmatism. And they tell you that your eyes may still go through the normal degradation with age, but if I can get 30 years without glasses or contacts it's well worth the money.
The worst part of the procedure is when they have to put the suction ring on your eyeball to stabalize it. You're just not used to someone putting pressure on your eyeball. Everything else was just a little creepy feeling, no pain. And if you can, avoid seeing a procedure before you have it done because it looks a lot worse then it is.
