Tie one wrist down to something before you go to bed......just as a test. Yes - it may be uncomfortable but just try it.
Or tape yourself when you sleep--- see if the monsters are coming out from under your bed and beating you up.

hmmm, I wonder if I could figure out how to use the digital cam to tape myself, not a bad idea. I don't think I could fall asleep tied up if I haven't been abducted.
I used to always wake up with scratches on my face in high school, so I slept in gloves and it stopped.

I honestly don't know the guy well enough BUT there are strong links between violent and persistant nightmare episodes and other issues that REALLY need to be looked at.

Nope. Not in the least. completely twisted what I was saying and took it down the wrong road. Sexual abuse wouldn't manifest itself like that generally.
