I heard about this maybe a year ago and personally I like the idea. If it weren't for the fact that Bush is the incumbent, I would have loved to see Giuliani run this year.
Problem I see is the American public is so fickle and seem to lack a long term memory that most outside of the Tri-State area won't remember him and his leadership during 9/11. Hell, just look how lax security has gotten around the country. In the beginning everyone was gung-ho about stopping everything. Now, and I say this from experience, you can get on a train and they don't check ANYTHING. As far as I'm concerned, we can be attacked again and this country still isn't prepared for it. Like the saying goes "those that fail to learn from history, are doomed to repeat it".
Anyway, now that I've gotten off course, I'm all for Rudy in 2008.
