what rules? the ones you make on the fly? the ones that come from you solely? if this was a set rule, don't you think REACTING with little to no explantion flies in the face of these so-called rules. If you and Alkey set up rules, why didn't you redo the FAQ, or put a post related to it out there..

It's not "hate the man on top", b/c I love Alkey. I don't have a problem with you personally either. And I have NO personal issue with any mod. (something i expressedly told you, but you chose to ignore in your mod comment)
I have a problem to the way it was handled, and that disrespecting posters is not the way to go about it. It does matter what you think, but it also matters what we think...but it ultimately matters what Alkey thinks, and I will defer to his judgements as such.
But, if you don't like the argument, or dismiss the issues, that's your own fault and loss. Like I said, this issue was encapsulated in one thread till you chose to make it stretch beyond that. And that seemed to backfire a bit, b/c i completely stand by what i said then as i do now. My opinion hasn't changed. There needs to be balance...but you have to have new people with real threads along with the old ones...and an allowance for real content and playfullness as well.

I think what is horseshit is your perception that just because there are rules of some sort clearly established and spelled out for all to read would result in the mods being hated.
But also, you have to anticipate being questioned when things are handled in a questionable fashion.
I've yet to see a reason to question Alkey for a reason - beause he says whats needs to be said WHEN it needs to be said. (and go ahead, call me a "kiss ass" but fuck y'all - I gots respect for that lush.)
FTL - GIP has questioned your tactics and you respond with an air of condecension and quite frankly, that's not a good way to convince folks that you have the capacity to handle the shit that hits the fan every so often. (and calling things "not a debate" "end of story" before a discussion has been fully carried out between all participating members of said "discussion"...uh, no good sir. At least, IMO.)
I think you DO have the capacity, once you get over that fear to lay the law down. BUT, when you do so, try and do so with a bit of tact/cooth and that should alleviate the potential of misinterpretation , aggrevation and horseshit being slung around.
(ultimately, I don't envy you, the position you currently find yourself to be in or your job - I've told you that before via u2u....just remember that with power comes responsibility...)
