What\'s the point of decaf?? - The Brain - 09-02-2003

I think what Suzie has been getting at is that drinking decaf coffee is the same as smoking nicotine-less cigarettes (if they ever made such things), or drinking non-alcoholic beer... WHY DO IT? The point in having a good morning cup o' brew is for the caffeine perk. If it's not giving you that, you're just drinking flavored hot water-- oh wait, they already have that, it's called "tea". If folks want to drink a liquid in the morning, but not get a caffeine jolt, try orange juice, or milk. Want something hot? Try hot cocoa.

Don't remove the one good part of coffee, and try to force people to drink it like it's still worthwhile to do so.

Of course a black man would understand a protester's logic: He wants to string up every white man he sees because something a couple of whities did to a bunch of distant reletives. It's not like the Jews want to bomb the Egyptians, ......wait bad example. It's not like the Chinese are pissed off at Japanese occupation... fuck. Greeks/Turks.

God Damnit. Brain, how about I buy you a beer and we work towards a cohesive existance together. No, your son cannot marry my daughter, but maybe my great granddaughter and your great grandson if my children interject more Italian blood into the family tree.

Now, now, Sloats... I thought I had clearly established that I'm against forcing people to do things they don't want to do. So you go relax and rest up for your next cross-burning. Tongue

P.S.- Italian blood is fine. They're like the darkies of the European continent.

And you can tell Ninny I said so.

Italian are wannabes. They wannabe as high on the social ladder as black people, so they act like them.

both tea and chocolate have caffeine. my entire caffeine problem can be traced back to the fact that by the time i was 10 tea was a 4 or 5 cups a day habit, maybe more. when visiting my 90 yearold grandma a couple years ago, after her doc told her to cut down on her caffeine, my sister and i were bouncing off the walls all night. whenever visiting a member of my family "cup of tea?" is a question uttered at any moment of the day.

incidentally, i was talking to a holistic health councelor friend of mine and he said that of 85% of people suffering from anxiety eliminated it after cutting out caffeine...
