The right kind of gal with the right kind of tattoo is fucking HOT. But some people are just stupid and get the worst tattoos in the worst places.
I'd say -
Tattoos on belly/lower back = usually hot.
Tattoos on shoulders = bland and overdone. Not hot.
Tattoos on thighs = IMO, AWFUL. Not hot. Wasted space, and more likely to deteriorate into a big flabby mess.
Tattoos on ankles/feet = usually hot.
Tattoos on asses = hot, unless the ass looks like a twenty pound mound of dough. As Ant used to say, gotta be an ass like a snare drum.
Tattoos on the cooch = tough call. I've seen some wacky ones, and sometimes they're really hot. Other times it's just disturbing.
Tattoos on head/face = the Auschwitz look. Not hot.
All of the above of course depends on the content of the tattoo.
I don't have any piercings, and I'm pretty much indifferent to them on women. As long as your face won't get yanked into a magnet if I hold it up to you, you're ok. Some people just get way too many.

I have a small ladybug on the top of my left foot. It's very cute and only shows when I'm bare foot. It hurt like a son of a bitch too....but it only took 20 minutes to complete.
As for piercings, just my ears are double pierced. I had one in my upper cartlidge of my ear, but it closed up.
