There's nothing wrong with the Bill of Rights or Declaration of Independence. Read them sometime and understand that they \"Limit the Government\", not the peoples God given Rights.
Why is that so difficult for people to understand?
Just like any document written in times that are different from modern day have trouble standing the test of time. There will always be people that dispute meanings in the constitution. So what looks like a pretty well thought out and to the point thing really isn't. So either everyone needs to be forced to take classes in government and understanding the constitution (which would be unconstitutional) or maybe the damn thing needs to be modernized. Which will never happen because the difference of opinion on certain points of it will cause too huge a debate for anyone to agree on the overhaul.
Back to the point at hand, what is so bad about living in a police state?

This bitch looked at me like i was from mars. I said you just wait and see. I wonder if she'll be cowering in a bunker this holiday season wondering why she didn't believe me all those years ago..
In today's news, a teacher was found holed up in a bunker much like Saddam Hussein was. When she was rescued, all she could be heard muttering were the words "Header was right. Header was right." Authorities have yet to figure out what the hell a header is.
 I'm a fucking time traveler. Jeez
Are you John "Header" Titor?
Come with me if you want to live.

I'd much rather live in a fireman state. They have cool trucks and awesome sirens. :duh:

The constitution (a document drafted over 200 years ago) needs a complete overhaul anyway.
I'm giving you ten minutes to leave the country you communist.
If wanting to update an often misinterpretted and outdated document for the betterment of this country makes me a communist then so be it.
Will you tackle the Bible too?

Exactly my point. And the overall problem with the bible is that it has been translated several times between several languages. Through that it loses it's meaning. At least with the constitution being in English (granted a slightly more proper English) you might have a shot at some agreement.

Being that you're such a Constitutional scholar, you understand that the true genius of the Constitution was that it was written to be interpreted? I'm sure you know and understand that U.S. Supreme Court decisions are also considered part and parcel of the Constitution. I'm sure you've read all those as well, no?

I see, so how about we tattoo a nice number on your arm or an RFID chip under your skin so we can keep you all warm and safe?

Well, the Supreme Law of the Land has been mis-interpreted by many over the years.
Doesn't make it right, now does it?

As long as I'm not doing anything wrong (which I don't recall ever doing anything wrong or don't plan on doing anything wrong) I'll be the first in line to get my chip if they want me to. Everyone that fears the police state, to me at least is suspect. Oh and for the tattoo does it have to be a number? I was hoping for a tribal something or other.

Who's to decide that? You? No.... The courts do and they actually do a pretty decent job of keeping themselves in check.
