I am sick of that question.
Conservatives pose that as if Gore's response would be to hide under the desk in the oval office and wet his pants.
When he World Trade Center came down,
a response WAS MANDATED.
I just question Bush's response.
Bin Laden and possibly Saddam BOTH are currently among the missing.
I don't know how much of the BILLIONS spent thus far have had a positive effect of ensuring a reduction of the terrorist threat.

Its not Gores actions I question, its his display of emotion and ability to connect to the American people. I dont think he has the persona to put people at ease like Bush does. Dont get me wrong, I voted Gore, strictly on an environmental stand point, but I dont think the American people would of felt as secure with Gore at the helm.

fair point, the current state of our economy usually factors in during election time.
however, Bush could always play that angle of "I can assure you if you keep me in here, will WILL emerge as victorious in the war on terrorism"
"to vote against me is to vote against this war on terrorism"
"to vote against this war on terrorism is to vote against America"
you know, say/do whatever it takes to win a vote.

I concurr, in no way is Bush running the country, he gets told what to do, what to say and when to say it. Hes a figurehead really. He lacks the intelligence to run the country, he just plays the part and has the name.
