This weekend I plan on facing the inevitable back to school shopping monster. I'm just thankful that my son's desires for "name brand" sneakers consist of a choice between sponge bob, scooby doo or YuGiOh. Can you say "Payless"?

I'll be doing the last minute shopping next week. I'm not a happy camper. My son wants the Converse X-Hi's (or whatever) -- there's no friggin way.

Once you start buying those expensive ass shoes its like a domino effect. The next time they need new shoes they will want the same if not more expensive ones. It was the worst thing my parents ever did when they bought me 'air jordans' in 6th grade, they spent way too much on my ungrateful ass. Don't do it.
and BUY BIG b/c they are gonna be growing fast (escpecially thier asses right?)

We went shopping for school supplies yesterday. Notebooks, pens, pencils, book covers (apparently paper bags are no longer acceptable), etc. $50. Not too bad.
I refuse to buy him pants until it starts getting cooler out cuz he'll outgrow them by then.
Also got the "back to school haircut" yesterday.
