The hawk was trained to hunt rats and pigeons in the park, but a chihuahua sniffing around in the grass looked like a tempting enough target.

Quote:\"We place the safe of park users, including their pets, over any minor inconvenience that may be caused by pigeons,\" said Parks spokeswoman Megan Sheekey.
Looks like someone needs to proof(write) their articles a bit more closely.

The correct question would've been...

"Who's talking to whom?"

See folks, that's the correct usage of the word 'whom'. 'Whom' is the object of a preposition, not 'who'.

(This has been a moment in grammAr brought to you by 'An Uppity Negro'.)

Colloquialism.

Look it up.

Illiterate.

Add that to your list of words to look up for today.

Any argument has a counter, but that doesn't make your's correct. You see, there is correct grammar and incorrect grammar... saying something incorrectly a million times doesn't make it correct.

If I were to say, "I be going all out when I be ballin'..." You would say I'm not using proper english and my retort could be that my speech is colloquial. However, I would be wrong. There is only one correct American English and "Who's speaking to who?" is incorrect.

Now shut up before I stick my nuts in an ATM and make you come and repair it. (This assuming that you still have the same job you had a couple years ago.)
