MLB Postseason - Hasegawa - 09-12-2003

I'm suprised a thread on this subject hasn't been created yet.
-With only a few weeks left in the regular season, the playoff picture is very, very blurry.
-Share your thoughts and predictions here.

-NL East- Just about won by Atlanta.
-NL West- Just about won by San Fran.
-NL Central- This is too tough, the Cards aren't as hot as they were earlier in the season. My bet goes to the Cubbies.
-NL Wildcard- It's a 2 team shuffle between Philly and Florida, the Dodgers seem to be lost in it. I predict a late season surge by the Phils to take it.

-AL East- I really want to see Boston take this, but reality sunk in and told me that Yanks will win this again.
-AL Central- Chicago will win this by a hair.
-AL West- A's take it, no contest. I predict a Seattle meltdown repeat of last year.
-AL Wildcard- Bo Sawx again...

As much as I hate to say it....GO SAWX!!!! Just to get the Yankees out of it.

I predict a Red Sox/Cardinals Series. Atlanta will blow it, as they have every year for the past 5 or 6 years.

And to think that in 1986, I was nice enough to root for the lesser of the two evils. :disappointed:

Now, be a good little Metropolitan fan, and go quietly into that good night. Tongue

AL East - The Yankees (of course)
AL Central - Twins
AL West - Athletics
Wild Card - Mariners

NL East - Braves (yet again)
NL Central - Cubs
NL West - Giants
Wild Card - Dodgers (who I think are peaking in both pitching and hitting at just the right time)

Cubs will be the dangerous team.

If they win division, they cant hit, but boy can they pitch.

Do me a favor--- wake me in 40 years when that happens.

[Psycho Mark]
GO SAWX!!!!

One more time for effect. I have a real simple rule, root for the Mets and whoever plays the Yanks.

Imagine a Red Sox/Cubs series....Two teams that haven't won dick in a combined 160 plus years, a losers wet dream.

MLB Postseason - Hasegawa - 09-22-2003

A's magic number is 3.

That is all.

MLB Postseason - Subzero316 - 09-22-2003

Yankees magic number is 1.

New York can clinch the AL East title tonight with a win
or a Boston loss against the Baltimore Orioles, thanks
to a 10-9 season-series win over Boston.

Yankees all the way. Confusedmug:

MLB Postseason - Keyser Soze - 09-22-2003

I would be greatly satisfied to see the A's win it all.
