The Hamsters In His Head Are Wheezing... - GreasyItalianPrincess - 04-14-2004

I'm sitting here watching Geroge Bush Jr. stammer his way, apolgizing for not having all the answers, and I wish some of these Washington Bureau reporters would just go for the jugular of the stupidity that pumps through his arteries. He is like a programmed robot, akin to a Speak & Spell, who gives set answers, but as soon as the questions deviate, he's at a loss. He stammers, pauses, sweats, blathers, changes subject, and just seems lost.

This is a man that is leader of the free world...and he's using these pulpit to engineer his campaign, besides sate the heat he's been getting since Clarke and the commision flak. He's selling himself, and the reporters will just sit there and eat it. And, even as they do..the smallest deviation throws this moron off.

This man is a product of an administration of philosophy..and that philosophy has been middle eastern control..or the attempt as such. And he's been properly programmed, and yammers to the press and on TV, and I wonder how much effect it is having.

Yeah, he ain't too good on his toes, huh?

And you can see exactly why the press doesn't just go at him like a pack of dogs: those press conferences he has are tightly-- and I mean tightly-- regulated. A reporter who asks too damning a question will either find him/herself univited to the next conference, or at the very least removed from that very specified list of reporters who get to ask questions.

Is it fair? Of course not. Is it an unconstitutional denial of freedom of the press? Nope, since he still has a roomful of members of the free press reporting the goings-on. So he gets the best of both worlds.

Than I suppose you missed Condi Rice's testimony during the 9/11 commission. Now that was a case of preprogrammed responses, and she was clearly at a loss when questions deviated from what she prepared for.

The NPR guy at the end was just for kicks, so Bush could repeat himself and just deny..and then say he was asked tough questions. By the way..i thought that guy was Stuart Smalley for a second.
