in fact, i addressed this point in the other thread.
moreover, in comparison OT on this board is actually more active at the time, even with the huge difference in comparison to membership.
oh, by the way, rfnet has chat threads...where ...check page 2 & 3 of OT which hilariously have Alkey and Silera prominently in them. Go figure.
Difference? They have bigger membership, so they have balance between them...which carries to my point at the very beginning...do not judge when you have limited membership.

so, i just got around to revisiting that thread, and i think i've figured it out. instead of chat threads, ftl would like ot to be the serious discussions only forum. so, i hope y'all remember your government and history classes and enjoy reading long winded multi paragraph political posts.
while i do find these types of discussions interesting from time to time, there is only a certain amount of reading that people are willing to put in on a board like this. for the most part, people come here for a break from work or because they're bored and want some mindless entertainment, kinda like why i think most of us listened to the show. sure, every once in a while a serious subject would be addressed, but there was a whole lot of silliness in between. and frankly, i think if people want to have a seriously in depth discussion about politics and what not there are plenty of serious news sites on the web.
now look what you made me do, i wrote a multi paragraph post :mad:
so, what shall we discuss. should the guy from the cia step down? or is he just a scapegoat? remember, the more you write, and the bigger words you use the smarter you will seem. but nobody's gonna have the attention span to read it.
oh, one last point. there's a serious post by dig in that thread. the end is near folks...
