New Japan Pro-Wrestling G1 Climax 2003

Every August New Japan Pro-Wrestling hold its annual tournament the "G1 Climax" to determine the strongest heavyweight wrestler and who would take the "ace" position that year. The tournament is round robin rules and the two top point leaders in the 2 separate blocks fight in the semi-final and the winners meet the next day.

Here are the participants:
Block A:
Osamu Nishimura (Semi finalist in last years tournament)

Tonight is the semi-finals, but due to the fact that Nagata and Shibata are tied with 5 points apiece, they will have to fight in a decision match to decide who faces Jun Akiyama later in the show. The other semi-final match pits Block A 2nd place finisher Hiroyoshi Tenzan against Block B winner, Yoshihiro Takayama.
