Maybe Vince was right to blame the war...

WWE Raw on Monday came in with a large 4.4 rating (6.7 share), off of hours of 4.3 and 4.5. That is an incredible .9 jump from last week's Raw rating.

Let the trend continue...

The highest rated segment of the show was the 10:00-10:15 quarter hour. This was the match between Goldberg and Christian and Ric Flair vs Hurrican in the back. This timeslot reached a 4.9. The 15 minute segment before this reached a 4.7 rating. The show then dropped off for the rest of the night finishing with a 4.4 for the overrun.

Not that the product was any better this past Monday (LOD did suck it up, and Nash did too), there were enough highlights in the show to suggest that WWE's fortunes might be going up. It will be interesting to see if the PPV gets a high buyrate.

Oh, and i think the way they are using Goldberg is pretty good. Having his matches go a little longer than 2 moves like hios old matches in WCW were, and having him appear on the show less (are you taking notes HHH?) is a good way to build up his character for the inevitable title run he will make soon.
