Like I said in the <a href=http://board.yourmomsbox.net/viewthread.php?tid=3657>Salma thread</a>, I love the appreciation threads, too...

just not to the point where I'm gonna start letting 10 or 20 of them sit on the first page of the forum.

It would be best to have at least 2 (possibly 3) sitting at the top, and once those babes are done being "appreciated" (which usually takes a month-- maybe longer for Angelina), I'll release them into the wild and replace them with someone else.

The idea is to stagger or stretch them out; let each gal have her moment of "appreciation". Understand?

Salma's thread is coming back July 15th; and someone is replacing Kirsten once <i>Spidey 2</i> comes out at the end of June. And yes, though it may pain many of you, eventually Angelina will have to move along to page 2.

But it will happen.

Seriously, there are bigger problems in the world than having too many appreciation threads in the first page. If they're not worth reading or replying, they will fall down.

it's an internet message board. who cares if the board was filled with appreciation threads? if that's what interested the masses, so be it.

That reasoning has led, over the course of time, to the following "gluts":

-- <i>Friends</i> clones in the early 90s, when it was first popular

-- teen pop girl/boy band oversaturation in the late 90s, when Britney and the Backstreet fags came along

-- wall-to-wall reality show TV now, thanks to the <i>Real World</i>, <i>Survivor</i>, and <i>American Idol</i>.

-- the otherwise inexplicable extended careers of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson... and anyone remotely related to any of them.

The best way to use the appreciation threads is a few at a time, as <i>distractions</i> to other threads, not the main focus themselves.

And besides, throw out too many, and we'll run of worthy babes far too quickly. Hell, you already thought Kirsten was scraping the bottom of the barrel, and she was just the 3rd such thread created, so how much deeper does it get?
