THE MAN has gotten Danny Glover fired from being MCI's spokesman for their "Neighborhood" marketing campaign for his hardline extreme political views.

I'm sure he supports Mumia too.

Quote:He called the president of the United States a racist, he blamed American policy for the murderous acts of September 11th, and he signed a petition comparing American soldiers in the Gulf War to 9/11 terrorists. He called America “the greatest purveyor of violence in the world.” And most recently Mr. Glover signed a letter of support for Fidel Castro.

The only part I completely disagree with blaming the soldiers.

Other than that, the rest of his actions are debatable and do not merit such drastic measures.

Yeah only minorities would understand this countries problems with race and fucking over any country that they can't manipulate
I always support the troops because I served in the USAF. I love this country would die defending it..
But I don't have to agree with the war.. i still to this day think of it as a diversionary tactic.

I don't mind Danny Glover being in commercials. However, I do mind when he has ultra-extreme political views, and he acts like such a fake as he does in the MCI ads.

"Hi! I'm a friendly, non-threatening black man! Buy this long distance!"

Perhaps this will teach Celebrities a lesson... don't expect to have such extreme views and think you can still make endorsement money.

you see this is why I don't like you (not hate just dislike). you don't make any sense when you post plus why does he have to be uppity.
Just like a fat cracker to say some stupid shit like that.
Danny Glover never came off as a non threating black man, have you seen any of his movies.
he's an actor he is paid to make people belive in what ever character he is.
he played nelson mandella for christ sakes....
World Com (aka MCI) should not be tossing stones after those fuckers cheated people out of their money.
That's why I don't like this countries view you can steal money and make people's kids starve and that's not as important as some actor and his opinion.

I could give 2 flying fucks what any of them say unless they are willing to do something about it.

Just curious, why do agree with a letter of support for Fidel Castro?
