Sorry to ruin your lame attempt to show me up, but there is a big difference here.
The bar we got for the 1 year anniversary party was pretty damn small (no offense Raven). This place had to be rented solely for us, otherwise there would be no possible way to fit us along with the regular patrons. Plus we had Brother Joe booked to play there also. As it was, the place was packed with us alone.

These places mentioned for this party (Donovan's Reef, Jenkinson's, Martell's, Bar A) are much, MUCH bigger. There would be no reason to have to rent them because we could fit the 100+ people that may specifically show up for this party along with the regular patrons.

The thing you don't seem to be able to get is the fact that if you aren't going to rent a place solely for us and this party, there is no reason to let the bar owners know we are coming.
If you still don't get it after this, then I don't know what to tell you. Everyone else seems to get it but you guys.

no offence taken -- room we booked would have been better, the room we had was the real bar -- + we never expected THAT many people -- we planed it / booked it and aproved it with the owner -- made sure even when bigger room was booked we still had a place to be. no ball droped

The Seaside scene (mentioned in another thread) isn't the best but it isn't the worst.
Personally, I'd prefer the Point Pleasant locations because:

A. The bars are VERY close to each other.

B. Both locations have outside bars on oceanside decks for the beach atmosphere desired by most of us.

C. Mass transit (the NJ Transit train station) is close by for those who made reservations near Sea Bright or for those who wanted to come down but didn't want to drive.

D. Both bars (Martells and Jenkinsons) are HUGE and making reservations at either isn't necessary because they'll think nothing of an extra 100+ people.

That being said, what's the "plan"?

I'm definitely feeling Pt. Pleasant more than Seaside, no doubt.

The train stop is only a few blocks away and you may not get served but you don't have to be 21 to be alowed on their private beach.

Ollie & Steamer & I are weighing out some options - we will post our proposal for correcting this debacle of ours by friday the latest, ok folks?
