Punk Ass Motherfuckin' Kids

Okay, my son is outside riding his bike with 3 other kids today. For some reason, the punk ass kids love to pick on him (yes, he's annoying, but he's not a geek and he's bigger than most of them). I come home from work and my boyfriend is in the driveway, along with my son and 3 other kids and a stick about 4 feet long about 1-1/2" in diameter.

Seems 2 kids decided they were going to chase my son. They chased him with the stick yelling, "I'm gonna kill you, you motherfucker." They chased him onto my neighbor's lawn. My neighbor had him come inside and the kids were cursing at her, calling her a motherfucking son of a bitch.

My boyfriend witnessed this and took off after the kids. In all, there were 3 child witnesses and 3 adult witnesses.

I tried to call the mother, but she wasn't home yet. We called the police and they said they'd send a car.

I finally got hold of the mother who said she would go out immediately and find her son. She pulled up in front of my house as we were finishing talking to the cop. The cop took the stick as evidence and I have to go tonight or tomorrow to sign a complaint.

The kid's defense was, "I wasn't gonna hit him."

This is not the first time this has happened. The first time, I could've signed a complaint and was talked out of it ("it will follow the kid through high school" -- "boys will be boys" -- etc.) Not this time. I've had fucking enough.

The mother looked like she was ready to beat the shit out of the kid in the street and he was almost in tears (partially from being caught; because he's gonna have to go to juvenile court; because his mother is gonna beat the piss out of him).

Enough is fucking enough. What is the problem with kids these days? We're talking 7th graders.

You definitely did the right thing by getting the cops involved. Fuck the "boys will be boys" mentality. It's one thing to fuck around, it's a completely different thing to threaten to kill someone. Sure, people will say they were just kidding. Tell that to the parents of the Columbine kids.

I love the fact that one of those punks was near tears. Oh, he's such a big tough guy when he's got backup and chasing a lone person, but as soon as he is caught and knows he's fucked he becomes a crying bitch. I love it!

Whatever you do, do not let anyone talk you out of going through with pressing charges or filing a complaint. Do not think for one second these punks will have "learned a lesson" just because they got caught. Next time your son may not be as lucky.

I'm thinking it was that lovely combination of budding adolescence and peer-pressure "mob mentality".

You know, the one where in order to flaunt your individuality and newfound disrespect for society at large, you herd yourself around sheeplike after whatever stupid nonsense some "cool" kid thinks will be fun, in a paradoxical effort to "belong" (despite the fact you want individuality).

But enough psychobabble. It's right for you to press charges. Too many young folks out there are growing up to believe their actions will not have detrimental consequences. And it's time to start teaching some of them how wrong that thinking is.

Thanks. It means a lot to have 2 men backing me up....actually, 3 men if you count Brokenjaw (who was one of the witnesses). I'm gonna go tonight to sign the complaint if it's ready.

The only reservation I have is that the cop mentioned that my son may see some repercussions of this in school. While I don't want him to get hurt, at least this way the kid(s) will be punished more severely...especially if this particular kid is stupid enough to take part again.

That's true, this could happen, but believe me, it will be worse if nothing is done. At least this way people will see you aren't someone to be fucked with so they will more likely than not stay away from your kid. Otherwise it will be like "Let's go kick sweet angel's kid's ass. It's not like she'll do anything about it." See my point?
